At CD Food Consulting Services, we take great pride in forming close partnerships with our clients and know these partnerships have been key to their success. We are a hands-on company that provides daily on-site guidance to ensure a successful food safety culture at all levels of organization. Our goal is understanding our client's challenges and assisting them with development of their work organization, including implementation of their food safety and quality programs, and monitoring of critical results with adjustments as required.
From start to finish, 24 hours a day we work side by side with your team.
CD Food Consulting Services, LLC is located, owned, and operated in the Pacific Northwest since its founding in 2010. Our team includes two Food Safety Consulting Technical and Regulatory Experts. At CDFCS, we have over 50 years of combined experience working in Food Safety among various sectors.
Joshua Frank (Managing Partner)
The founder, Clair DeNike, is a close mentor and friend, and as of August 2025, I took over ownership as he moved on to a very active retirement.
I've personally had the pleasure of working and managing among multiple food sectors, from a Professional Brewer to QA Manager in the juice sector, to Director of Quality over multiple sites across the U.S. within the baking industry, and Quality Assurance and Food Safety and Sustainability Senior Manager for international import and processing in the seafood industry. In addition to field experience, I carry a B.S. in Food and Fermentation Science from Oregon State University with a minor in Chemistry, and am finishing my M.S. in Food Safety through Michigan State University.
Lisa Petro (Food Safety Consultant)
Lisa has been consulting with CDFCS for many years and is one of the most knowledgeable people one could meet. She carries a long list of credentials and has earned numerous certificates.
In the past, she has worked for the US Department of Commerce Seafood Inspection Program, developed corporate Quality Assurance departments, and has also been a plant Quality Assurance Manager. She has served as contact at both corporate and plant level, managing regulatory agency inspections along with food safety and quality audits. Lisa is an invaluable fount of experience across the spectrum of regulatory, food manufacturing, and retail food subjects and sectors.
Clair DeNike (Founder)
Having owned and operated CD Food Consulting Services, LLC since 2010, Clair retired to work on research and development and to spend quality time with family. In honor of our friend, and thanks to his vision, Clair DeNike Food Consulting Services, LLC carries forward the mission of offering high quality services with down to earth, transparent communication.
